I grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, surrounded by mountains and ocean, and observing moose as they wandered through my backyard. As a little girl, my greatest ambition was to become a dinosaur. After realizing that when adults said "you can be whatever you want to be when you grow up" didn't actually mean I could be whatever I wanted to be when I grew up (for example I couldn't be a lambeosaurus), I settled on becoming an artist which gave me the freedom of a wild imagination. I have a Bachelor of Fine Art from Pacific Northwest College of Art, and a steady if completely unromantic 8-5 job that has nothing to do with art.
I love doing commission work, whether it be a t-shirt, a mural, or a portrait, and I work in various media including acrylic, egg tempera, watercolor, polymer clay, charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, mixed media, and chicken singing. The last one is more performance art than anything else.
